A new Hobo-friend!
This week Pål H. Christiansen visited Svein Erichsen, the producer of "Fakkeltog" by Bridges, Magne Furuholmen's and Pål Waaktaar's group (later named Poem) before Morten Harket joined the two of them and formed a-ha. Erichsen had just read Christiansen's novel "Drømmer om storhet" ("The Scoundrel Days of Hobo Highbrow") and was very enthusastic about it. He invited Christiansen home to listen to some of the old stuff.
"I had a great time with Svein", Christiansen says. "He told me about himself and the old days with Bridges, Poem and the early phase of a-ha. He played some very interesting tapes that showed where Magne and Pål and a-ha started up and how their music developed. He also served some wonderful Danish pastry and coffee!"
